ON JULY 7 1998 I PURCHASED A 1996 DODGE RAM INDY 500. I PAID $18,000 FOR IT WITH 14,000MILES. I HAVE SINCE THEN INSTALLED A BED COVER PAINTED-STRIPED TO MATCH. IN THE BED I HAD COSTUME CARPET INSTALLED BLUE WITH WHITE STRIPES TO MATCH EXTERIOR. COLOR MATCHED SPORT MIRRIORS. PAINTED STRIPES ON BUMPERS TO MATCH. INTERIOR I HAVE INSTALLED A COSTUME STERO-ALPINE INDASH 3DISC CHANGER-TAPE DECK-7BANDEQ,2-EARTHQUAKE 250 AMPS PUSHING 4-JLAUDIO 12INCH SUBS BEHIND THE SEATS,AND 1-EARTHQUAKE 200 AMP TO PUSH MY HIGHS. UNDER HOOD I HAVE INSTALLED A MISTER NORMS SUPERCHARGER,CHIP,POLISHED VALVE-COVERS,PLUS CHROME ACCESORES. I HAVE INSTALLED COSTUME DAUL EXH; MOPAR PERFORMANCE HEADERS MOPAR PERFORMANCE CATS,BORLA MUFFLERS DAUL TIPS ON BOTH SIDES OF TRUCK COMMING OUT BEHIND THE REAR TIRES. MY NEXT JOB IS TO LOWER MY TRUCK 5'INCH IN FRONT 7'INCH IN REAR. AND PUT A SET OF 20'INCH RIMS AND TIRES ON IT. THEN FINAL JOB ! BEFORE SPRING REDOO MY WHOLE INTERIOR IN BLUE AND WHITE LEATHER TO MATCH THE EXTERIOR OF MY TRUCK. I ALLREADY HAVE 14'TROPHIES FOR MY TRUCK,AND I PLAN TO GET ALOT MORE IN 1999. I bought Indy truck #121 brand new from a Dodge dealer in Rochester NY
and only drive the truck cruisin or for car shows. Last week I won my first show and took second place. I can't say enough good things about these trucks. I just joined the WNY Mopar club where there is also another Indy Pace truck owner there. I am interested in all info. that I can get for future car shows.

i am the proud owner or a 1996 dodge "indy ram". i presently have about 94,000 miles on the truck and i am the second owner. it has every option exept the power moonroof. i am presently looking to add a supercharger and im not to sure weather to install a screw or a centrfugal type... so any sugestions will be appricated. |

I purchased the truck new from Hawley Motors in Batavia, N.Y.
actually, My wife bought it for me for Fathers Day. I drive it daily during the summer months, and store it during the winter. I've added the ground effects myself, the MOPAR set, moulded in the correct color. I've been looking for one of the tri-fold bed covers which were available, painted with the stripe when the truck was new. My dealer didn't have the part number anymore. Anyone in the registry have one of these? Or know the story?
My Indy Ram has the heavy duty service group, heavy duty Tow package, sliding rear window, and compass overhead, of course it has the air, cruise, etc...
Doe's anyone know info on VIN numbers, would mine be early or late production? Is there an exact figure for total production?
I found out about the registry at Chryslers at Carlisle, I can access the website at work though I cannot use my work computer to send/receive E-mail. I am using my son's E-Mail address for correspondance................ |

mopar performance computer, K&N filter, 3.90 gears with suregrip,
steel bumper with viper fog lights, lower air dam with viper fog lights, turn signal covers and Ram taillight covers in matching Indy blue. |
